We are teachers who see the value of performance poetry in the classroom and on the stage. We are working to bring poetry slam curriculum and competitions to every secondary school in the state of Utah. We have taught slam in our own classes, we have built and coached teams, we have organized and hosted high school competitions, we have partnered with local literary and poetry slam organizations, we have created and hosted world class workshops for teachers and students from all over the state, and we have brought some of the best poets in the world to the students of Utah High Schools.

We bring the best poets in the country to Utah Each year. High school creative writing teachers, English teachers, and coaches are invited to bring their students to listen, learn, write, and perform. (Left to right, Good Ghost Bill Moran, Ashlee Haze, and Olivia Gatwood).
